The ending is just incredibly lovely and so very heart warming and full of promise. It really leaves me with this good feeling all over. But the whole story was wonderful, Merlin and Arthur was a given, but I really liked how it wasn't in the spotlight, instead it seemed to be developing little bit in the shadows, slowly but surely, without much drama. It was different from what I'm used to reading but very pleasant change and it gave me the opportunity the appreciate other aspects of the story more than I would usually. Other aspects such as your Elena, I really really enjoyed her characterization here. How you took from what we learned about her in the show and adapted it in your story here. She was wonderful, strongly against being treated as complete girl just because she is female, adorably clumsy and so caring and affectionate. I really enjoyed the portrayal of her friendship with Arthur too, it was something that I could imagine seeing in the show as well, if only they were allowed to get to know each other when they were younger. Arthur was lovely, so obviously caring about the people close to him although still busy and suffering at times. Descriptions of Morgana through Arthur's eyes Morgana actually pats his hand as he shuffles by her towards the piano in a disturbingly maternal manner. She must have learned the move from Gwen, there’s no other explanation. and Morgana is as icy and lovely as ever, in a dress she probably went back in time and beat Audrey Hepburn to death for. were one of my favorite lines, had me grinning widely. Same might be said for Bambi and baby forest animal, lol. And Pride and Prejudice similarities were wonderful. I have to say I felt really sorry for Arthur when Merlin turned him down, although understandably, the first time. My heart went to Arthur completely with the way he went around to apologize and how he was unsure did his message come across. All after that, Merlin tentatively trying to get closer was so very wonderful.
