Yuletide season is always a wonderful time of year! Thank you so much for offering to write one of my beloved small fandoms, and I look forward to seeing whatever you choose to write. Feel free to depart from my given prompts if you've got an idea you've been hoping to write, too, but if you're a prompt person I hope these ones are useful!

Fandom Specific Likes and Prompts
Barbie: Star Light Adventure
Barbie of Para-Den, Sal-Lee
I love this ridiculous sparkly movie so dearly! And much as it's obviously meant to sell toys, there's so much that's interesting in it, from gorgeous visuals (the creature design for creatures that weren't supposed to be toys! The scenery!) to fun character interactions to people with superpowers, including Barbie's humming-related telekinesis (I love plot-significant music, and anything about that would delight me). I love all the characters, and appearances from any of them would be welcome, but I particularly adore Barbie and Sal-Lee. I love that Barbie is a fan of Sal-Lee's, and that Sal-Lee goes from detached and wary to one of Barbie's best friends, it's a great progression. I do ship it, but I'd be just as happy to see them interacting as friends.
Prompts:
-Post-movie stories about Barbie's new role and responsibilities as a princess (is she Constantine's heir, or is the title honorary?), preferably with Sal-lee helping her get used to the fame! It may be a kids' movie, but I'd love to see some full-on court intrigue and politicking if you want to go in that direction.
-They're a great team, and I'd love to see them (either on their own or with Sheena, Kareena, and Leo) take on more missions. The galaxy may be saved, but surely there are rescue missions, or environmental conservation missions, that could use some superpowers to solve. Or just more training in case of future missions, the training scene is one of my favorites.
-Sal-lee and the stars! I love her little speech about them being the only steady things as she travels around. How has fame taken its toll on her? If she goes back on the circuit, how do things change for her, knowing that the stars are there in part because of her? And, if she's back on the circuit, is Barbie there too, and does that give her another piece of home sometimes?
-This is a great pairing for so many tropes, particularly things like various marriage tropes and fake dating, feel free to dig right into that if a trope occurs to you. Maybe the press assumes they're dating and they go with it, or they get drunk on the hoverboard circuit in a few years and get accidentally Vegas married.
A Countess Below Stairs - Eva Ibbotson
Olive Byrne
This book is one of my comfort reads, and on my most recent rereads, I've been particularly attached to Ollie, who's such an engaging and central figure. So much of the book hinges on her! She's sweet and interested in the world around her and very wise. What I'd really love to see with Olive is her future! Whether that's in the year between the main action of the book and the wedding or her adolescence and adulthood as she gets older. I love the thought, there, that she and Peter Grazinsky might someday fall in love, so if you want to imply that in the future or write a romance for them, I'd be delighted. Note: I would prefer that the fic not take place in the period between Muriel kicking her out of the wedding and Niannka helping her take steps to move past that. If you want to discuss that period from when Ollie's begun to heal, that's fine, I just don't want to dwell on her misery, more on her taking the world on!
Prompts:
-Preparations for Anna and Rupert and/or Susie and Tom's weddings. Is Ollie a bridesmaid for Susie as well as for Anna? How does she involve herself in the proceedings, and what is her opinion on them? Does she have any opinions on Tom and Susie's romance, since it seems like she's been involved with the Rabinovitch household for a while?
-Ollie's young adulthood, and any attendant romance. Maybe she travels, or goes to university, or designs dresses, or one of a thousand other things. I'd love a courtship between her and Petya, in particular, whether that's the two of them at Cambridge or running into one another at a London party or having a formal courtship with the neighborhood looking on and meddling.
-A return to the Russian Club! Maybe Anna takes her along when she goes to inform everyone there of her engagement, and she gets to dwell in that place she loves for a little longer.
Dracula - Bram Stoker
Lucy Westenra
Dracula Daily has been one of the mainstays of my year, and I've very much enjoyed reading the book for the first time since high school! On this read, I have been very much struck by my love for Lucy, who fights so hard to live, and even when she has no hope of living to at least try to pass information on. I love her friendship with Mina, her love of Arthur, her entertaining letter about her three proposals and how she's won the love and loyalty not just of those two, but of Jack and Quincey, and the affection of Van Helsing when he shows up! More than anything, I would love to indulge in some fix-it fic for her, and thus I shall get right to the prompts.
Prompts:
-How might Lucy survive? A near miss where Mina returns and does her own blood transfusion and it preserves Lucy for just enough time for them to protect her more permanently? Jonathan returns to England earlier and they all start sharing information sooner? Feel free to make it dramatic and suspenseful.
-How does Dracula's defeat change if Lucy survives? Does he keep focusing his attention on her instead of Mina? Does she come along on the adventures, or hold some valuable thoughts or knowledge that might help them all along the way?
-Post-trauma comfort with any of her friends/suitors. Maybe she and Mina can cry about their near misses, or she can sit down with Arthur and Quincey and Jack and get some comfort, or she and Jonathan can bond over being Dracula's victims. I do ship her with all of those people (though mostly through Mina, in the case of Jonathan), so if you want to write some Lucy poly, I would be more than happy to receive that, in any rating.
-If you don't want to touch much on the events of the novel, feel free to write an AU where Dracula never turned up or something set in an otherwise best-case scenario universe where Lucy gets some happiness and romance with any of the suitors and/or Mina. A comedy of manners where she tries to arrange a poly scenario in Victorian London without causing a scandal? A modern AU where she's too soft-hearted to break up with any of her Tinder dates where she ends up not having to do so? Just Lucy being happy with the people she loves!
Tom Corbett: Space Cadet Series - Carey Rockwell
Tom Corbett, Roger Manning, Astro
I love optimistic sci fi! These books are such fun. I love the worldbuilding, how there are dinosaurs on Venus and canals on Mars and the very beginning of exoplanet colonies, and how the books, being written when they were, engage in all of these things very seriously. I love the bits at the Solar Academy that are part boarding school adventure. More than anything, though, I love the Polaris crew! Tom, the courageous and caring leader of the group who gets into the occasional scrape but smooths things over when the other two argue. Roger, both very smart and an absolute disaster at the same time, who tried so hard to be a cynical loner until he suddenly had some best friends. And, of course, Astro, with a very different history to the other two, growing up on Venus as an orphan, who is a genius engineer and a bit of a hothead. I ship all three of them together, but gen and any of the component ships of two are more than welcome as well!
Prompts:
-Future fic! They're cadets in the Solar Academy in the books. What happens when they graduate? Are they all assigned to the same ship, or do they have to figure out how to see each other in between assignments?
-A visit to one of their families. They talk a few times about visiting Tom's family on leave, so it would be fun to have a peek at one of those visits. Or a visit to Roger's widowed mother, or an invitation to take her up in the Polaris with them. Or another trip to Venus for the dinosaurs, since the last one turned out so disastrously--or even, if you want to go for some drama, a new family member finds Astro when he thought he was alone in the world!
-In nearly every book, there's a part where one (or more!) of the three of them gets imperiled or injured, and the other two have to worry about and/or rescue and tend to him. I would absolutely love a hurt/comfort fic that leans on that habit!
-A lot of fandom classic tropes would be so fun with these three! Amnesia, accidental baby acquisition, marriage of convenience so they can get the same assignments after graduation ... go wild!

General Likes and Dislikes
Likes
- Stories about relationships, be they romantic or platonic! I love banter, characters playing off of each other, relationships that feel lived-in. I also love relationships growing and changing, and stories about the moments where they shift! That can mean a shift from friends (or enemies or rivals or indifferent strangers) to lovers, or a growth in trust or respect in gen relationships.
- Happy or hopeful endings! I am perfectly happy with a lot of angst along the way, but I like to leave a story knowing that the characters are going to be okay.
- AUs, especially of the canon-adjacent kind (canon divergences and fix-its, roleswaps, things like that), but setting change AUs are also delightful! Putting a canon in space is always a delight, and I am also very fond of things like You've Got Mail AUs and other romcom fusions.
- Worldbuilding! I haven't requested it specifically, but anything you want to fit in is great, I love it when fics focus in on details of worldbuilding canons didn't have time to do much with and extrapolate them out, or quote from in-universe media or mythology.
- Off that last one, I love epistolary fic (particularly if you'd like to do epistolary for Dracula), and other found documents types of stories: letters, journals, recordings, voicemails, logs, anything of that nature is wonderful.
- Any rating, G to E, wherever you are most comfortable writing, from gen to non-porny romance to porn (though I would prefer porn as garnish to other things rather than PWP, and for any younger characters to be aged up to 18+).
- Assorted tropes and story elements I am fond of include: any and all marriage tropes (arranged, convenient, Vegas, fake), found family, hurt/comfort with lots of comfort (especially in survival situations and the classic "overworked to the point of fainting"), time travel tropes (going back to fix things, time loops, etc), anything about loyalty or fealty, pining, banter, dancing or Fancy Party Episodes, political/court intrigue, outsider POV (preferably from canon characters), and epistolary.
- Assorted things I enjoy in porn, should you choose that route, include: non-penetrative sex (penetrative is also fine! But I very much enjoy oral, frottage, etc.), characters having fun and laughing during sex, light informal d/s or bondage (particularly if partners switch off who's in charge), sex pollen in any of the space canons, phone sex or dirty talk (though I prefer the latter not be humiliation-related).
Dislikes
Overall, I am fine with these elements up to and including the level they're at in a canon, but don't like them introduced, pushed further, or focused on:
- Major character death, especially where not canonical
- Terminal or other major illness, particularly cancer
- Epidemics/pandemics, whether COVID-19 or any sci-fi/fantasy/historical plagues
- Abuse, particularly between partners
- Infidelity
- Incest
- Rape/non-consensual sex
- Gore (violence is fine to a canon point, but detailed descriptions of injuries or dead bodies is not)
- Horror (I have a very low tolerance for creep factor, alas)
- Porn-specific DNWs: humiliation, kink without appropriate negotiation or aftercare or that is or is implied to be a 24/7 arrangement, daddy kink (or baby kink), a/b/o, bloodplay, watersports.
