2021 Books, Post 6
May. 4th, 2021 10:58 pmYou know I'm feeling anxious when I have a book post less than three weeks after the last one. Though rereads do always skew things a little faster! The next few should be slower since I have a massive amount of books right now, my TBR shelf is absolutely teeming between a friend lending me a boxful, birthday plunder, and my lack of self-control when entering a bookstore for the first time in well over a year.
( A bunch of rereads and also me yelling about some bad sci fi. )
Next time: look, I am going to warn you guys. I am already midway through the last book of Robinson's Mars trilogy, and this book has broken me. I am exaggerating a little, but really not as much as you think I am. I have screamed about something egregious it did to pretty much everyone I've talked to in the last week. I read about a hundred pages of this book, hit one particular three-page passage, read it, and had to put it down because I simply could not handle it. I made someone read the passage to confirm it was as weird as I thought it was. There will be capslock. So, look forward to that, I guess? And in the meantime: questions? Comments? Recommendations I will take at least six months to get around to because I've got such a ridiculous amount of books on my shelf?
