*blows dust off journal*

Got myself another Trope Bingo card on a whim, and it looks like I have some fun squares to fill!

I know, I know, I don't call, I don't write! If you want to know what I'm writing these days, you can find out either on the AO3 or on tumblr.

But in the meantime, this year's trope bingo card is here, and I haven't got ideas for anything yet, but there are some fun-looking squares!

handcuffed/bound together slavefic road trip au: band huddle for warmth
secret child fusion fuck or die mistletoe kiss au: hooker/porn/stripper
holiday game night au: magic accidental marriage kiss to save the day
immortality/reincarnation au: college/highschool poker/strip poker sharing a bed au: cop/detective
secret relationship food porn presumed dead day at the beach celebratory kiss

I am so sorry, people who follow my fic from over here. I completely fell off on posting when I posted fic. But there's been, um, a lot? I got a blackout on my Trope Bingo card. And have written a few fics since. So under the cut I'm going to make a brief-ish list (titles, fandoms/pairings, maybe a little more info) of all the fics I've posted since "A Council of Queens."

Merlin, Les Mis, Xena, Sleepy Hollow, 2 Broke Girls, Pacific Rim )

Hopefully you find things in there that you enjoy, and I'll try not to go so long without updating again!

Title: A Council of Queens
Wordcount: ~3300
Warnings: Arthur's death and the grief from it are a theme throughout, and the fic also glances over other character death, as well as past mind control in the form of Vivian's love spell.
Summary: Mithian returns to Camelot to work towards Albion's future, and finds herself working through her own and others' complicated history with Camelot.
A/N: I have had this fic in mind pretty much since canon closed, and I am relieved I finally got it written! It is for the "futurefic" square on my Trope Bingo card.
Disclaimer: I do not own Merlin.

You can read the fic on the AO3.

Title: License to Thrill
Wordcount: ~14,000
Warning: brief violence
Summary: Merlin's employees bet him the recipe for the most addictive cocoa in the world that he can't find out what the hot blond who comes into his chocolate shop does for a living within the month. He ends up getting far more than he bargained for.
A/N: Written for this prompt on the meme for summerpornathon's Charity Bonus Challenge (though it somehow ended up not having porn), and for the "bets/wagers" square on my Trope Bingo card. The title is from "I Wish I Was James Bond" by Scouting for Girls.
Disclaimer: I do not own Merlin.

You can read this fic on the AO3.

Title: Steal Your Heart Away
Wordcount: ~24k
Summary: Grantaire comes back from his latest job redistributing priceless art to find that Fantine has hired an archangel to work at Sur-Mer Antiques. It certainly makes his life more interesting.
A/N: The Grantaire-is-an-art-thief fic this fandom never knew it needed. Also, the "au: other" square on my Trope Bingo card. Finished only with endless encouragement and word wars with [ profile] samyazaz. Title from "Love Love Love" by Of Monsters and Men.
Disclaimer: I do not own Les Mis.

Read the fic on the AO3.

Well, [ profile] summerpornathon is over, which means it's time to link what I wrote for it over here!

This is the series on the AO3, all seven entries and one entry I wrote for the first week but didn't end up submitting. Pairing list is as follows: Gwen/Merlin (with past Arthur/Gwen/Merlin), Nimueh/Ygraine, Arthur/Elena, Arthur/Merlin, Freya/Sefa, Elena/Mithian, Nimueh/Uther/Ygraine, and Arthur/Merlin with significant amounts of Morgana.

Truth or Dare, an Arthur/Merlin modern AU, 1800 words, written for one of the bonus challenges.

Temptation, a Hunith/Will modern AU, about 1k, also written for one of the bonus challenges.

And for anyone who is curious, as a result of all these fics, this is how my Trope Bingo card is going.

Since I had such fun last time, and they had such a good list of tropes this time, I requested a card, and I got an awesome spread of things to play with! So expect these things to be showing up over the next several months:

soul bonding / soulmates futurefic forbidden fruit sex pollen curtainfic
au: historical au: romance novel mind games transformations bets / wagers
au: mundane au: royalty / aristocracy / feudal power dynamics matchmaker rites of passage / coming of age
handcuffed / bound together fake relationship role reversal chosen family first time / last time
au: other road trip in vino veritas / drunkfic au: fusion presumed dead

Also, I'm taking part in [ profile] summerpornathon again this year, so I'll be posting those fics up on the AO3 weekly, I'll link it all as a series at the end of the summer over here.

Title: Find Out What I'm Feeling
Wordcount: ~19,370
Content notice: contains some references to Grantaire's drinking, but it isn't a focus of the story.
Summary:When Marius's girlfriend Cosette writes an article about Enjolras's campaign for a seat in the state House of Representatives (not to mention his attempts to start a new political party) and mistakenly mentions Grantaire as his boyfriend, Enjolras ends up pretending to date him in the media storm that follows. He's not sure why Grantaire says yes, but he's starting to want to find out.
A/N: I am just wandering all over fandoms like nobody's business lately. Written for the "fake relationship" square on my Trope Bingo card (and I got my bingo!). Title from "Feelings Show" by Colbie Caillat.
Disclaimer: I do not own Les Mis.

Enjolras will always blame the whole thing on Marius, because it starts when Marius brings his new girlfriend to one of their campaign meetings.

Title: Winter Is All Over You
Wordcount: ~4700
Warnings: Athelstan does consent explicitly to the sex, but given he is still a slave I will warn for mild dub-con. Religious guilt, historical inaccuracy, brief violence.
Summary: Winter never bothered Athelstan before, but winter in the North is a different thing.
A/N: Written for the "huddling for warmth" square on my Trope Bingo card. Title by First Aid Kit.
Disclaimer: I do not own Vikings.

Athelstan is used to denying himself indulgences. )
lady_ragnell: (roses)
Title: The Sun Hasn't Died
Wordcount: ~10,800
Warnings: past character death, mentions of violence and rioting and other consequences of the apocalypse
Summary: You have to figure out how to survive somehow, after the world ends. Elena does it by stealing horses and roaming, at least until she finds the village of Camelot and its residents, especially its librarian.
A/N: Written for the free space on my Trope Bingo card and because Emjayelle prompted an Elena/Mithian apocalypse AU on tumblr. I restrained myself from putting novels worth of backstory and minor character interaction into this, you should be grateful. Title from "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons.
Disclaimer: I do not own Merlin.

Read it over on the AO3: ... if there's nobody around to appreciate her cleverness, well. Elena always did better on her own anyway.
lady_ragnell: (roses)
Title: And the Birthday Dessert Conundrum
Wordcount: ~2,200
Summary: Caroline is not the baker in their duo, but Max deserves something special for her birthday.
A/N: So apparently I write 2 Broke Girls fic now? This is for the "food porn" square on my Trope Bingo card and also for Femslash February (though contrary to both those things and despite a visit to a sex shop, it is actually pre-relationship). Also, fair warning, this may make you hungry.
Disclaimer: I do not own 2 Broke Girls.

A party is not going to happen. )
lady_ragnell: (roses)
Title: Here to Hold on To
Wordcount: ~14,800
Warnings: minor character death, hospitals/illness (specifically Erica's epilepsy), mentions of bullying and miserable high school experience (also due to Erica's epilepsy, nothing more explicit than in canon), minor bloodplay towards the end. There's no sex, but Laura is very aware nonetheless of Erica's age.
Summary: A chance meeting in the hospital the morning after Laura kills Peter leaves Laura with a telepathic connection to a teenager she'd never met before--one who, after she finds out about werewolves, wants the bite.
A/N: Written for the "telepathy" square on my Trope Bingo card, and for Femslash February. Title from "City," by Sara Bareilles. Also, who is in the least bit surprised that my longest Teen Wolf fic to date is extremely rarepair femslash?
Disclaimer: I do not own Teen Wolf.

Read it here on the AO3.
lady_ragnell: (roses)
Title: How Much a Heart Can Hold
Wordcount: ~2,400
Summary: The problem with having two boyfriends is Valentine's Day.
A/N: Written for the "holiday" square on my trope bingo card (you may think from looking at it that I intend to do the top line. If I ever come up with something good for "au: steampunk" that may even be true).
Disclaimer: I do not own Merlin.

Mostly, Gwen doesn't care if things aren't perfect. )
lady_ragnell: (Default)
Title: The Space Between the Threads
Wordcount: ~1700
Warnings/Enticements: crossdressing (for charity but also implied for pleasure), strong hints of D/s, very unresolved UST
Summary: It would have been nice of Arthur to warn Gwaine that his sister is coming to stay. Especially before he offered his guest room for Gwaine to change in before the charity event they're doing.
A/N: Written for the "crossdressing" square on my Trope Bingo card. This isn't rated because it's the closest you can get to a PWP without actually having any porn involved. The title is from a quote by Lori Howe: "Lace is as much about the space between the threads as it is about the threads themselves."
Disclaimer: I do not own Merlin.

Oh now. What have we here? )
lady_ragnell: (Default)
Title: A Lot Like Life
Wordcount: ~2,200
Warnings: slavery, bondage (of a sort), some light breathplay, and the dub-con inherent in the situation even though consent is obtained (and enthusiastic)
Summary: During treaty negotiations, the High Priestesses give Morgana an unorthodox gift, and he is more than he appears at first glance.
A/N: This has been languishing half-finished in my documents folder since ... the slavefic round of Kinkspiration, I think? So I was very glad when my "slavefic" square for Trope Bingo came up. This is set in an ambiguous AU where Uther stopped the Purge after a few years and has been trying to make treaties ever since. Title from Depeche Mode's "Master and Servant" because I could not resist.
Disclaimer: I do not own Merlin.

I wonder what sort of destiny the High Priestesses think they're trying to avert. )

Leaving my card here for easy reference and for ease of having a masterlist later. This looks like it will be quite entertaining! Percolating a few ideas, we'll see what comes of them.

de-aged holiday cross-dressing au: steampunk slavefic
day at the beach in vino veritas / drunkfic au: neighbors huddle for warmth au: college / highschool
secret relationship curtainfic au: apocalypse truth or dare celebratory kiss
au: historical food porn secret twin / doppelganger fusion kiss to save the day
fake relationship animal transformation accidental baby acquisition telepathy / mindmeld genderswap
